These workshops are specifically designed for those fitness/dance/movement professionals that wish to teach the original PoleCat Power™ format of classes that were created and taught here in Los Angeles for the past FIVE years by Shawn Frances Lee. These instructor training workshops are broken down into two categories,“Licensed” and “Fundamentals”.

The “Licensed” Exotic Aerial Dance Instructor training will be taught in an option of two different five or six-day workshops. They are approximately six to eight hours per day, and may include teacher-assisting workshops. Acceptance into these programs will be very select, with certain mandatory requirements.

The “Fundamentals” Exotic Aerial Dance Instructor training is taught in a two-day format. It consists of two eight-hour workshops. You may take them individually, but you must take BOTH workshops to be listed on the website.

The cost of each of the workshops includes both the training fee and the one-time licensing fees for using the PoleCat Power Method™ material. Rates are for individual instructors only, for corporate training please inquire. There will be no future licensing fees per level. **Travel and accommodations are not included.

Exotic Aerial Dance Instructor – Level I

(Fee includes Training and one-time Material Licensing Fee: $2,500.00 US individual instructors only) If you have attended the Fundamentals Training, you may credit $400.00 towards the training fee. For information about licensed Studio group rates, or regional licensing exclusivity, please Email Shawn.

Progressions I-III: Contains Basics/Introduction to Pole Dancing for complete newbies, up through Intermediate Level Climbing, Inverting, Spins, Transitions, and Choreographed combinations.

Prerequisite: Ability to do all of the material on the PoleCats I: Beginning Pole Dancing DVD.

Detailed progressions broken down and ready to incorporate into your OWN program! These detailed progressions can create 7-9 individual levels of 6-8 week classes!!!

PoleCat Power Level I- Licensed Instructor Workshops - Payments and Deposits

Application and acceptance into the workshop is required prior to enrollment. Please specify dates and location of workshop you are enrolling in with your payment. A $500.00 security deposit is required to secure a place in a workshop. The remaining balance is due 2-weeks prior to the secured workshop commencing. NO post training payments, or payment plans. NO exceptions. NO EXCEPTIONS.

*If you cancel your spot in the workshop, the security deposit is non-refundable, and non-negotiable. You must place another deposit in order to secure any later workshop dates.



Exotic Aerial Dance Instructor – Level II

(Fee includes Training and one-time Material Licensing Fee: $2,500.00 US individual instructors only) Information about licensed Studio group rates, or for regional licensing exclusivity, coming soon.

Over 100+ additional individual pole tricks, transitions, and other moves! This workshop is for those instructors who plan on training students in the higher levels of exotic aerial dance, beyond basic climbing and inverts, focusing on higher level aerial pole transitions and pole tricks.

This level of training requires instructors to not only be able to properly do the crazier acrobatic tricks, but also to have the insight and ability to demonstrate, instruct, explain, and safely spot students in these crazier tricks safely! This training will be physically challenging. It is not for the average exotic aerial dance instructor. Designed for the instructor that wants to offer the highest quality classes, with the most challenging curriculum available today.

By application and invite only to those instructors and studios that have completed and are licensed in PCP level I. If you are a PCP Level I instructor or licensed studio owner, email me for specific qualifications and required abilities.

Includes: Training and licensing in six (6) additional progressions, Additional Manual Inserts for each progression, Intermediate and Advanced PoleCat Power Spins (30+), and Inverts/Poses (30+), Safety and Injury Prevention, Spotting Techniques, Pole Dance and Aerial Transitions (30+), Preps and Training exercises (25+) - Six (6) progressions total!!! Over 100+ additional individual tricks and moves! These progressions are equal to 10+ MORE levels of classes!!!

Also, aerial transitioning and sequencing, and how to spot students in the higher levels of aerial work that is needed to keep students safe. Listing on the website as a “Licensed Instructor”, and a Certificate of Completion.

POLECAT POWER METHOD™ “FUNDAMENTALS” INSTRUCTOR:
These workshops are specifically designed for those fitness/dance/movement professionals that wish to enhance their own Pole Dance classes, or to understand the Fundamentals of teaching Pole Dancing. Shawn Frances Lee developed these workshops in Los Angeles over the past 5 years, specifically intended for the increasing popularity of pole dance classes in the fitness world. These workshops will be broken down into two categories, Injury Prevention and Physical Training for Pole Dancing, and Pole Dancing Basics and Choreography. Both workshops below are one-day workshops, approximately 8 hours each. Both workshops qualify for AFAA continuing education units. There is a special rate for AFAA certified fitness instructors. Please inquire if you qualify.

PLEASE NOTE: The Fundamentals workshops WILL NOT include any of my personal pole dance choreography or sequencing. It will include PCP Method safety, spotting, and teaching techniques for individual basic pole tricks in early levels. None of my own creative material or choreography will be taught, although creating your own choreography is part of the training. Also, upon taking this workshop, you will not be listed as a "licensed" instructor from this workshop. You will receive a certificate of completion, a listing as a “Fundamentals” instructor, and written material from the course. To learn and use my choreography and teaching progressions, you must become a licensed instructor.

FUNDAMENTALS WORKSHOPS ARE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE

Day One:

• Injury Prevention and Physical Training for Pole Dancing - Gregory Welch M.S.**
Workshop Fee: $325.00 for single workshop, or $600.00 for both days. **Workshops outside of Los Angeles, will not include lecture with Gregory Welch, and AFAA CEU's are not available. However, the same material will be covered, and credited towards the Fundamentals Training certificate.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will include the biomechanical and physiological analysis specific to the movements involved with Pole Dancing. The lecture will include a breakdown of the components of the activity, including training, potential injuries, injury prevention, and the importance of learning progressions for this movement. 5.75 AFAA CEU's or certificate of completion. (Special rate applies for AFAA certified instructors and other instructors certified in various in other areas of fitness. Must be able to provide proof of certification to receive this special rate)

Prerequisite: Previous experience with pole dancing highly recommended.

This is a PoleCat Power Method™ ORIGINAL WORKSHOP!
No other program internationally offers instructor workshops with a sports specific bio-mechanical breakdown, training, and safety and injury prevention specific to the movements involved with Pole Dancing!

By the end of this course, the attendee will be able to:
• Identify the muscle groups involved in pole dancing
• Differentiate between improper and proper technique
• Demonstrate a training program designed to support the activity of pole dancing

Day Two:

• Pole Dance Skills and Choreography
Workshop Fee: $325.00 for single workshop, or $600.00 for both days (see below).

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will introduce the fitness professional to the newest trend in women’s fitness, pole dancing. Lecture will include; basic class format, class management, role of the instructor, equipment, and safety. The workshop is completed with a further examination of teaching techniques of the movement including basic movement, spins, climbing, inverts, modifications for special populations, the importance of spotting, creating learning progressions, and creative choreography. 5.75 AFAA CEU's and/or certificate of completion. (Special rate applies for AFAA certified instructors ONLY. Must be able to provide proof of certification to receive this special rate)

Prerequisite: Previous experience with pole dancing highly recommended.

By the end of this course, the attendee will be able to:
• Identify the basic movements of pole dancing, and it’s modifications
• Differentiate between proper and improper technique
• Demonstrate a choreographed routine designed from the basic skills learned in this course

Payment for all classes and workshops is due in full at the time of registration and is non-refundable.

Classes may be purchased by PayPal, Money Order or personal check (with valid ID).

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Payments for classes and workshops are non-refundable. Once a class has started, all payments for classes are non-refundable. Payments are good for the current class only once the class session has started. If you wish to change to the next 6-Week series offered prior to the class beginning, there is a cancellation fee of $75 for 6wk classes and $50 for workshops. The remaining funds may be applied to the next series of classes or workshop (student workshops only, not applicable to instructor training). All payments are completely non-refundable after the subsequent class session.
